PCB Depanelling Machine
Series 4646
2. Machine-design /-layout
The Systemtechnik Hölzer (SH) Series 4646, equipped with a non-moving spindle-unit to depanel the PCB from the machine`s topside, was engineered to dispense with the application of complex positioning- & retainer technology and motors. The SMT-mounting side is placed face downwards. The construction is built in a solid frame, yet weight-saving, an aspect as well to be found in the Gantry-design x/y-coordinates module resembling the flying PCB principle.
It should be stressed that the development & production of PCB-fixtures belongs to the range of the SH core-competences. Our broad know-how in this field of engineering has grown during recent years because SH is a renowned producer of PCB-jigs for the depanelling machines of other suppliers.
Possible dimensional production tolerances of the bare board are compensated by a built-in Vision-system, an optically controlled x/y-coordinates correction.
The machine-layout grants numerous upgrade options, which make working with the Series 4646 even more economical. These options include double sized PCB-fixtures, a combined shank-/ blade-spindle-unit, a twofold shank spindle-unit and vacuum fixture pins.
A programmable suction-unit with a waste-level monitor removes saw- and milling dust. The spindle-unit operates only if the dust-removal properly works. This avoids hazards caused by static electricity charges.
Based on the efficient all-in-one modular concept of the Series 4646 the machine can be upgraded with a transportation belt, adjustable in width, to an in-line version.
Generally speaking, machines of the Series 4646 can be seamlessly integrated into existing PCB-production lines consisting of machinery of other makes.
The Series 4646 complies to the strictest operator-safety requirements (static electricity charges, noise) imposed by law (ESD, EMC, CE, accident prevention).
